What's normal in the new normal, trends, and the QuaranLife workbook.
This is our QuaranLife where daily activities are accomplished inside the confines of our homes; mindfulness and patience are a must, and adapting to digital and online practices is a necessary life skill and function.
What is normal?
Perhaps these norms which have existed since are highlighted and considered normal as we adjust to our situation.
Among our daily activities, home cooking and baking became the remedy to our quarantine blues. Almost everyone went back to their hobby-ing, if not, ventured into honing this life skill and used the opportunity to start an online business.
Social media & the internet also became the center of work and society, providing a multi-purpose function amidst the pandemic and giving opportunities for work, business, politics, entertainment, and leisure to coexist and become integrated into the same space.
Take a glimpse of my A Day in a Quarantine
These are spontaneous takes with no particular storyboard in mind. I mostly compiled and edited the sequence and duration of each activity to keep the day natural and authentic. Shot via iPhone 6s and edited through iMovie. Lol, enjoy.
As you watch, you'll notice how household chores are a part of my daily activities, the kind of work that is necessary. I've been into K-culture stuff since the beginning of quarantine which explains all the Korean store-bought food items, Maxim coffee-making, and Kdrama series binging (I was watching Misaeng, and omg I love you Oppa Kang Ha Neul). hahaha
5 New Normal Trends

1. Work and social conversations via video calls and social media.
2. Regular/daily online lifestyle transactions via websites and e-wallet apps.
3. Regular/daily food and parcel deliveries via courier services.
4. Engagement in health and fitness practices as a lifestyle shift and Covid19 preventive measure.
5. TikTok: your short-form content feature, leisure activity, and ticket to fame.
The QuaranLife Workbook by Tammie Sunday

Brief
The 8-pager workbook is a contemplative guide in applying the Japanese concepts of KonMari, Ikigai, and Wabi Sabi in the quarantine period. In it you'll find questions and tasks on the new normal and work from home set up to help you digest the situation and uncover personal insights, learnings, and realizations. A set of journal questions, some inspiration, and recommendations are also included to get you by.
