This month's letter starts with gratitude. How can we be more appreciative of our present?
Sometimes our dreams, history, and circumstances get the best of us that we lose sight of what’s in front of us. For May, I thought I’d share some tips on how we can all try to be more grateful for our presents despite what we all carried.
Documenting more intentionally
Taking pictures and videos and writing notes in a journal teaches us to be thankful for the little things, even the most ordinary moments. Remember that we can find joy in the documented experiences, which usually become our motivation to move forward and allow us to enjoy our present.
Engaging more in offline activities
Chores and extracurricular activities encourage us to take social media and digital breaks and work on skills for character development and independent life. Eventually, we’ll realize how valuable and necessary they are and even be grateful we've known them early on.
Spending more quality time with those we're comfortable with
Eating meals with family, catching up with friends, having coffee sessions with mentor figures, and going on trips with favorite people shows us that we all need community and genuine company that accepts us and somehow understands us through our endeavors. For them, we'll be appreciative, especially in certain moments of our lives.
May these words inspire! xx
