ICYMI: Fashion Revolution Philippines x Basically Borrowed's Clothing Swap Party

Co-hosted by Fashion Revolution Philippines and Basically Borrowed, it was an afternoon of clothes and conversations with a free styling consultation with Miss Kayce. 

As a first-time participant in the clothing swap party,I was in for a surprise! And by the end of the event, I had made a friend. (Hi, Jessah!)

What Happens in a Clothing Swap? 

In a clothing swap, participants bring some of their preloved clothes to the event and have them exchanged with each other; hence, a swap. It’s a great introduction to sustainable fashion and another way of thrifting clothes.

*Tip: To bring out the best out of your swaps, it's better to wash them first and then style with other clothes and accessories.

Different Moods, Different Fits: Swap Looks

In Forrest Gump's words: "...like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get." That perfectly describes the experience of clothes swapping and thrifting, until you find pieces that fit your style and you can work with.

1- Swapped forest green blouse + Paired with a thrifted white skirt and small sling bag

2- Swapped lacey cream sweater & English skirt + Paired with thrifted boots and hobo bag 

3- Swapped jumper dress & striped button down + Paired with a dumpling bag and white slip ons 

4- Swapped black dress + Paired with Mary Janes and an accent shell bag
