Boracay is undeniably one of the best beaches in the Philippines. It’s a timeless beach destination with incomparable white sand floors that tourists and locals enjoy. Since its rehabilitation in 2018, Boracay's beauty and charm have been revived, offering more value to all travelers. Have you been to this tropical paradise? Or rather, when was the last time you visited? What’s new at NAIA Terminal 3

Need to catch your flight? Here's a shortcut I’d recommend to everyone: pass through Runway Manila, a bridge connecting the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 to Newport City for a quicker way to the airport terminal. You can also save more time from all the airport traffic by getting dropped off and picked up from Newport City. If you’re in for a DIY experience, check out Cebu Pacific’s self-check-in where you can print your plane ticket and luggage tag and drop off your luggage at their designated bag drop counter. It’s an easy, convenient, and seamless experience for the traveler who’s on the go. Early check-ins and arrivals at the airport permit more time to eat, explore, and settle down.  Have a meal at Via Mare as you await your flight and get another coffee fix (and snack) at the Airport Cafe once you’re at the domestic boarding gate.

Touchdown, Boracay Island!

Right outside the Caticlan airport are booths offering hotel transfers. Avail of Southwest Tours’s roundtrip transfer which includes all fees from the airport to the hotel for a reliable and hassle-free service. Expect them to also pick you up at your hotel on your departure day, 3 hours before your flight!

Welcome to the Boracay Newcoast

If you’re like me and prefer a much quieter, less crowded area, and wouldn't mind exploring a new side of Boracay but still want to experience the same white sand beach, stay at Savoy Boracay located at the Boracay Newcoast. The hotel offers an exclusive private beachfront, dining options, and complete amenities. They even have a free shuttle service to D'Mall, only a few minutes from Savoy.

*Tip: During my 3-day trip, I spent my beach days and sunrise watching at Savoy’s and set aside a day for visiting the main stations for the cafes & desserts and Diniwid Beach for the sunset.

You can’t leave Boracay without

  1. Trying these unique Filipino desserts from the Sunny Side Cafe Group Enjoy Coco Mama's scoops of pandan and buko ice cream topped with red bean, pinipig, and mangoes in a chilled coconut husk. Indulge in a classic dessert like Ube Mama which is ube ice cream topped with palitaw balls (glutinous rice), ube halaya, coconut or buko strips, and crushed cereal.

2. Dining at these Instagram-worthy Boracay cafes and restaurants Take a picture by The Sunny Side Cafe Station 1's iconic window with scribbled words ESCAPE overlooking the beach. If you’re there for breakfast, their mushroom and gruyere omelet with a side salad, fruit platter, and iced coffee are good choices.

The Dinibeach Bar & Restaurant's facade is sprawling with coconut trees; with glimpses of the beach peaking through for a view. Accompany this tropical retreat with their cheeseburger sliders paired with a kombucha gin and tonic cocktail.

3. A souvenir from Balabag Wetland Park. Find the BORACAY signage in the middle of the park amidst a lake backdrop and take a photo.

4. Catching the sunset at Diniwid Beach and seeing the famous keyhole. You can also pass through the cliff that will bring you to Boracay Station 1.

5. Strolling through Boracay Stations 1 to 3! You're in for a feast because there are a ton of new cafes, bars, and restaurants along stations 1 to 3. Delight in the Boracay view while sipping your preferred drink and savoring those flavorful bites.
