Art experiences have been continuously enhanced and elevated throughout the years.
It's become more palatable, tangible, and accessible by the audience as it branched outside the confines of a museum, gallery, and exclusive underground art exhibitions.
Immersive programs are now integrated into the concept of art and artworks and are more focused on audience inclusivity and experience; with the purpose of not merely entertaining but educating the viewer.
Just as we have food trips to satisfy our gastronomic fantasies and travel bucket lists to fulfill our wanderlust desires, art activities exist and are sought after to realize those (inner) artistic dreams.
Here are ART-ivities inspired by Vincent Van Gogh, #VanGoghInspires
Sip n' Gogh: paint like Van Gogh

I've loved art and Van Gogh and painting since I was in grade school! A few years back, when I learned that Sip n' Gogh is a place where you can paint like Van Gogh and have a wine and cheese platter served during the session, I thought to myself how the painting's made into a more enjoyable and achievable activity.
Painters, art enthusiasts, and first-timers are welcome to "paint.sip.laugh." in this creative space. It's the perfect venue to learn something new, bond with friends or family, and/or pursue a long-time hobby.

Van Gogh drew inspiration from his observations of nature and of the city he currently resided in whilst in Sip n' Gogh, inspiration is from a painting of our choice amongst a selection of ready-made paintings, creating our own versions.

Van Gogh Alive: The story of Vincent Van Gogh's artistic journey

It was to my delight that Van Gogh Alive was brought to the Philippines! I first learned about this from a friend who went on a vacation in Hong Kong which hosted the multi-sensory experience.
A live storybook of Vincent's life and works as told through his paintings and pieced together journal entries were represented through projected images and animated at a rhythm, moving with the accompany music score. These projections brought in rays of color to the dark room, appearing on the propped up and strategically placed canvases.

What was admirable in this experience was the contrast and balance between the usual museum gallery set up with that of a multimedia exhibition.
As we entered the venue, a recreation of Vincent's bedroom in Arles was first noticed. Onward through the exhibition space, perched on the white walls, were photos and descriptions of Van Gogh's paintings, a brief biography of Vincent, and an explanation of the system called Sensory 4 used to create the immersive Van Gogh Alive experience.
To our surprise, the yellow colored wall at the end of the room served as an entrance to yet another room where the real exhibition began!

These art immersions left me hopeful for art: thriving to be understood and appreciated, thriving for all of us. :)
I can't help but associate the lyrics from Taylor Swift's song with this feeling.
"This ultraviolet morning light below, tells me this love is worth the fight, oh."
It's probably the reason for such an afterglow.
